Hi, I’m Jenny Cureton, the designer behind Bungalows by Barb. If you love a good before and after, you’re in the right place.

Bungalows by Barb is where I share the real journey of buying, renovating, and flipping homes, from the first walk through to the final styling moment, plus the design trends I’m loving, the lessons I’m learning, and the tips that actually help if you’re updating your own home.

And yes, the name is personal. Barbie is my 13 year old Australian Shepherd, my constant sidekick, and the inspiration behind Bungalows by Barb. She’s been with me through every paint sample, demo day, and late night decision, and she takes her role as project supervisor very seriously.

What I do

I buy and flip homes. I’m not just designing projects for clients. I’m also investing in properties myself, making smart updates, and turning overlooked homes into something special. I’ll share what I’m seeing in the market, what I’m choosing to renovate, what I’m skipping, and the behind the scenes decisions that shape the final result.

I design remodels and refreshes. Whether it’s a full remodel or targeted upgrades, I focus on choices that make a home feel elevated and livable, beautiful in photos, even better in person.

I create spaces that stand out. My approach blends style and strategy, layout improvements, finish selections, lighting, and styling that feels intentional without being fussy.

My design is whimsical, with pops of color, and never ordinary. I love spaces that feel collected and personal, with playful moments that still look polished. I’m drawn to unexpected details, interesting textures, and pieces that make people stop and say, where did you find that.
